Allen Gillespie, CFA®

Allen started in the investment industry in 1995 and serves as the Chief Investment Officer for FinTrust Capital Advisors.  In his role, Allen is responsible for overseeing client portfolios and the FinTrust investment team.  Allen works closely with FinTrust’s advisors to help analyze portfolios and develop investment recommendations and implementation strategies for clients. From 2005-2021, Allen served as a Commissioner for the South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, a $30+ Billion pension plan.  While a member of the board, Allen served one two-year term as Chairman of the Board, and he established and initially chaired the pension fund’s first Risk and Audit Committee.  In his spare time, Allen enjoys serving as the scoreboard manager and/or announcer for various Saint Joseph High School football and soccer teams.
