BREAK & EDUCATE: The “I” in Philanthropy

Donna Rasile, Senior Vice President, Investment Advisor with FinTrust Capital Advisors hosted an online presentation with Toni L. Freeman on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Toni provided a brief history of philanthropy, reviewing individual and grantmaking philanthropy. She also discussed considerations for a gifting strategy, answered questions, and guided a brief discussion about the barriers and apprehensions of individual giving.

Toni L. Freeman has over 20 years of executive management experience.   She recently served as the Executive Vice President of the Arts & Science Council for Mecklenburg County, NC.  Previously, Toni served as the Chief Operating Officer of The Mint Museum, and she served as the Director of Project Research and Evaluation at The Duke Endowment, which is one of the largest foundations in the United States.  Prior to joining The Duke Endowment, she was Senior Vice President of Finance, Administration and Membership at the Charlotte Convention and Visitors Bureau (Visit Charlotte), and Corporate Associate Vice President at SunHealth (Premier).
